As my blogroll continues to grow, I've decided to split things up a bit. Basically, I put the ones in "read obsessively" out of laziness, so I don't have to keep scrolling through the list as it gets longer. I read the others almost as much. I've also been toying with the idea of a 3 column layout. Anyone have comments on that? I want to be able to have as many links to things as I can, without making it look too cluttered. I choose the 2 column layout specifically for that reason. But as that left column grows, I think it might be better to add the right column. Let me know what you think.
NOTE TO READERS: you know I'm speaking to all 6 of you, right?

My philosophy is that my blogroll is there for my convenience, so what goes where and all that is all about that. Some people take it way more personally than that, but that's the approach that works for me.

I agree with Charles, the blogroll is mostly for my benefit. It's my jumping-off point whenever I want to read the news (outside my rss feed newsreader -- obsessive much? nah.). I like the two-column format you've got working, but I suppose it's all about what you want people to see "above the fold," to use newspaper lingo.
Blogrolls can get out of control (mine's a good example, and it's short by, say, Corrente's standards). That said, it is a blog, not a newspaper or other site. People will scroll down when they're looking for information.
And six readers? Us new kids on the block gotta stick together and boost that, for both our blogs.
Cheers

Charles & Justin,
Thanks for the input. I just started to wonder if my main blog posts were too right of center. But I think I'll keep it as is for now. I'm working on another project with some family/friends as well. It's going to be a sort of multi-purpose blog. Sports, entertainment, etc. I want to keep nosey online strictly politics and current events. I have a feeling that we're all a part of the beginning of something big, even if we're a little late to the party.

I went to a three-column format about 3 months ago and find that for both readers and my own use it was much better. In the end though - really - it's an aesthetic choice; which looks better.
Hope you were counting me in the six!
